About Us

More than 25 years ago in a small town in Southern Maine, we began focusing on historical preservation. During the past 25 years we have learned that  rehabilitating and saving 100-, 200- and even 300-year-old dwellings is a vital part of maintaining an important sense of community and livability of any town, big or small.

 

Taking what we’ve learned a step further, we ventured into saving not only historic properties, but also any property that could still be effectively used.  By facilitating the prevention of unnecessary destruction of property, we have provided communities with unique housing alternatives, as well as demonstrated our ability to successfully rehabilitate buildings most people considered worthless. Our restoration efforts of numerous National Register properties and relocation of older structures once slated for demolition, have in their own way created legacies for future generations.  We are proud to have played a part in not only saving these tremendous properties from destruction, but in providing livable accommodations for subsequent occupants.
